Every Chardonnay Diamond® is 100% naturally colored from the ground (by mother nature). Yellow diamonds primarily get their color from trace amounts of naturally occurring mineral elements (mainly nitrogen) in their atomic structure.
Chardonnay Diamonds® are extremely rare; for starters, there is only a 1 in 10,000 chance that any diamond will possess any natural color. Furthermore, only a very small fraction of these diamonds will have the right attributes to warrant becoming a Chardonnay Diamond®. To guarantee that each Chardonnay Diamond® is 100% natural, each one comes with an independent Diamond Grading Report from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). The GIA is recognized as the most accepted standard of Diamond Grading in the world. For all diamonds over 1 carat there will be a fully executed GIA Diamond Grading Report attesting to the Natural nature of the Diamond, the Natural nature to its color and include a clarity grade and a diamond plot.
